After Hours Crisis Counseling

When the Student Health Center is closed, if you would like to speak to a crisis counselor, please call 714-714-7715 and press 9 to be connected. Crisis counselors CANNOT make, cancel or reschedule appointments nor contact or leave a message for your therapist.

For scheduling, cancelling an appointment or any questions, please call 714-714-7715, press 1 and leave a voicemail. Voicemails will be checked during regular office hours.

Orange Coast College (OCC) Students who are enrolled in the current semester may seek mental health services at the OCC Student Health Center.  Please call and leave a voicemail at 714-714-7715 or come in to schedule an appointment.

Short Term Therapy

Our team consists of pre-licensed clinicians who work under the supervision of licensed MFTs. Ongoing weekly therapy appointments are available, as well as walk-in appointments for immediate crisis support.

We can help with:

  • Depression and/or Suicidal Thoughts
  • Eating, Body Image, Weight
  • LGBTQIA+ Issues
  • Relationships & Sexuality
  • Sleeping Difficulties
  • Stress, Anxiety, Anger, Excessive Worry or Guilt
  • Mental Health Referrals

If you need extra support, the mental health team can connect you to low-cost community resources that are able to help with acute or long-term mental health problems.

 

Crisis Intervention 

If you notice you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, having difficulty coping, or feel like you could benefit from talking to someone immediately, the OCC Student Health Center staff is experienced at assisting students in crisis. Please stop by the Student Health Center any time during regular office hours. We’re here to help.
