The Narrative Illustration certificate program prepares students for a career as a freelance illustrator working in print, digital and entertainment media where story is the driving force. Students start by taking foundation courses in traditional and digital art, then move up to advanced media skills which prepare them for focused classes in illustration and professional studies. Electives in the program include Cartooning, Character Design, Life Painting, Watercolor and more. Together these classes prepare students to start a freelance career or for acceptance into an illustration degree program.

Check out the requirements in the OCC digital catalog.
