The ceramics programs of courses teaches hand-building techniques, and introduces students to the sculptural and three-dimensional use of clay. The class explores traditional pottery forms. Students study the main directions of contemporary ceramics, and are introduced to firing and glazing. The basic techniques are offered in raku, earthenware, stoneware and porcelain. The class is taught in OCC's Ceramics Studio, located in the Art Center.
