Our Mission
The Orange Coast College Archives serves as a repository for the historical records of Orange Coast College. The primary purpose of the Archives is to document the history of the College and preserve and retain all records of value.
The core mission of the Orange Coast College Archives is as follows:
- To appraise, collect, organize, describe, make available, and preserve records of historic value to Orange Coast College.
- To provide adequate facilities for the retention and preservation of such records.
- To provide information services that will assist the operation of the College Archives.
- To provide assistance to patrons in the use of the Archives collection.

Orange Slices: dates covered 2004 – 2008. Focuses on the history of Orange Coast College and highlights individuals, celebrations, and characteristics of the college. Jim Carnett, the former Director of Community Relations, exquisitely captures these moments.
Orange Coast College Catalog Archive. Access the historic college catalogs from 1948-1969.
Orange Coast College Newspapers Archive. Access the full run of The Barnacle (1948-1976), Coastlines (1972-1978), and Coast Report (1976-2017). Search by year, date of issue, or page number, in addition to full text search capability.

Access
The Orange Coast College Archives is a closed collection. If you are interested in finding materials in the Archives collection, please make arrangements with the Archives Librarian regarding your request.
Duplication and Reproduction
Scanning can be arranged for most materials. The librarian reserves the right to withhold access or permission to scan, photograph, or photocopy materials for the protection of fragile items. Researchers are responsible for duplication fees.
