The Food and Beverage Management Department

The Food and Beverage Management Program prepares students for managerial employment within the Food and Beverage Industry. Students completing these degrees and certificates are qualified to manage food service operations in commercial establishments, such as restaurants, hotels, event spaces, catering facilities, and food services within institutional facilities such as colleges, universities, and hospitals. Each program offers a varied curriculum focusing on food and beverage management, dining room service, bar management, sustainable food systems, food recovery, and catering. Students will acquire an in-depth comprehension of the principles and most effective techniques involved in overseeing food and beverage operations, from the kitchen to the dining room.

Collaboration and Sustainability within the Program

Classroom studies are reinforced with practical experience in the Captain's Table Restaurant, the Food Repurposing Kitchen, sustainable agriculture partnership with the Horticulture and Marine Science departments, and organic waste management through composting.
