Make spring semester a SING semester!

1/29/2015

Happy new year and welcome back! As we begin the spring semester, we’ve got lots of exciting musical opportunities ahead for OCC singers. The OCC Chorale (Music 120, MW 1:45-3:00) is looking for new members, and if you’re interested, here’s what you need to know:

  • Admission is by audition, but don’t freak out—it’s fast, easy, and not scary! We’ll just ask you to sing a few lines of a song you choose, and try your hand at a bit of music-reading, and then you’ll be done.

  • Interested singers should come to Music Room 101 on Monday, February 2, at 1:45 p.m. We’ll tell you everything you need to know then!

  • You do NOT need to be pre-registered for the course in order to earn a spot. If you ARE pre-registered, you will still need to complete an audition in order to be in the chorus.

  • If you sang in the Chorale last semester, we hope you’ll come back for more! You do not need to re-audition, but please do come to the first day of class.

We’re hoping to have our biggest Chorale yet, and it’s going to be a terrific season that includes the chance to sing some of the great choral works of the Baroque era with full orchestra. Don’t miss it!
